Election day contest!

OK, everyone… the US will be holding an historic election next week, and I’d love to hear what everyone thinks about it (not only your vote, but some debate would be nice!)  Post your comments here, and on Nov 5, I will randomly choose from the “winning” votes.  The prize will be a gift package suited to the winner’s tastes!  Ladies, please feel free to comment and discuss here as well, even if you aren’t interested in the contest.  I love hearing everyone’s points of view!  And I’ll, um, keep my own mouth shut until asked :)

  • Hi, Sasha. I am an Obama supporter. Ironically, I think, it’s because he can really get us past the slavery issue and start discussing race relations in a different (probably as yet undefined) way, a way that acknowledges that anybody can be a racist. I’m more liberal on GLBT rights and reproductive rights. TMI? Sowwy.

Who do I think actually will win? Obama again, but by a bare amount, and not without some court action on some technicality. Unfortunately, there are too many folks here in America that will not give a black man a chance. It will be a grueling election day and a potentially grueling term.

  • I’m actually working the polls this election day, not like that ya perverts :D .
honestly i don’t think its an issue of color, his mentor is scary, and not in nice way in the hate mongering kind of way.
its where he has been getting his advice and guidance for the last 20 years that scares the hell out of me.
i do care that he wont honor the flag, and i do care that he has a great platform, but, i think that if were going to elect some one you have to take a long hard look at where they get there advice…
so all that said, im voting for macain and palin, not because they are young and edgy, but because I firmly believe this is the direction the country needs to go in and, they will scare the people who want our destruction a hell of alot more then obama…
